Kristen O. Mercado Gaxiola
Kristen is currently the English and Art Coach for Kinich School Primary and Middle School. She has more than 10 years of experience teaching English to children, teenagers, and adults. Kris was the leader of the POETA program (Program for Economic Opportunities through Technology in the Americas), a social development model created by The Trust for the Americas and the OAS with the purpose of offering training to people in situation of social or economic disadvantage, so that they can develop the skills that allow them to obtain a decent job.
She collaborated with the first generation of the social leadership program “Preparando Líderes de Lumen Vitae AC”, teaching Community Project Management classes and Introduction to
Business Administration, through the Learning 1to1 methodology. Moreover, she taught English and the subject “I am a Leader”, a program focused on the development of social leadership skills. Kristen also designed and facilitated sessions for the accompaniment of the Coaches program among students and members of companies such as HP, IBM and INTEL.
Coach Kristen has a degree in Communication Sciences and Techniques from the Universidad Del Valle de Atemajac UNIVA Guadalajara campus. She was part of the second generation of professionals at “Enseña por México” and has several certificates in drama, art, sexuality, leadership, among others.
