We are an elementary and middle virtual school
About Us

We are a virtual, bilingual, and distance learning Elementary and Middle School for girls, boys, and teenagers between 7 and 14 years old.
Through interactive classes and personalized learning experiences, we encourage students to develop academic, technological, and social-emotional skills and competencies relevant in the 21st century.
Distance Learning and Online Education
Our pedagogical system combines elements of distance and digital education and project-based learning, enhancing the impact of education in discovering the interests and abilities of students to develop their socio-emotional, intellectual and practical capacities.

We have Cognia accreditation

As a global nonprofit working in over 80 countries, Cognia serves 36,000 institutions, nearly 25 million students, and five million educators every day.

Kinich School, your best option
Small groups
We have a reduced student-teacher ratio with maximum of 20 students per group. Small group instruction gives students more of the teacher’s focused attention and a chance to ask specific questions about what they learned.
Expert Academic Coaches
Our team of Teacher Coaches is fully qualified and highly experienced to guide the learning of every student. They are experts in distance learning and online education to design meaningful learning experiences.
Face-to-face virtual sessions
Our lessons are live and fully interactive: students can hear and see the Academic Coach, actively participate, share their knowledge and work collaboratively.
Also we incorporated individual offline sessions to continue learning.
Flexibility
We offer two school modalities for Elementary School
Kinich Global: academic content, personal development, comprehensive, artistic, and technological education.
Kinich Ed – Academic content only – Ideal for students who are part of a Learning Pod.
Social-emotional Skills
Starting from the personal attributes to generate a social impact, we work on the development of soft skills such as
- autonomy, and self-awareness
- self-efficacy and growth mindsets
- self-management
- social awareness and relationship skills
- intercultural understanding and responsible decision making.
Our Technology
We use iPads as a supportive educational tool, which promotes technology and digital skills.
iPads are managed by the academic coaches, which ensures a safe environment for our students.
“Knotion” Platform
Our platform allows access to school lessons, academic resources, videos, and interactive activities which are designed to motivate students curiosity.
The platform allows coaches and parents to monitor the progress and performance of each student in a personalized way.
Community and Partnerships
Our methodology goes beyond a virtual school at home; we have access to experts from a wide range of organizations to complement students’ learning.
We hold virtual interaction sessions to promote social skills and bonds among the school community.
Supporting each family
We support the grow of each family through workshops, sessions with experts, and conversations among parents and primary caregivers.

How we teach
At Kinich School, students collaborate with academic coaches to take ownership of their opportunities for meaningful learning.
Students learn and interact with classmates from all around the world. They work as a team, take online classes, and develop impact projects related to solve global problems.
IMPACT MODEL

Identifying
Students are involved in inquiry activities and engagement techniques to create relevance and excitement to learn. We support student collaboration to build-up appropriate skills. Students reflect on their choices as a way to increase their agency as learners.

Mapping
It is a process to highlight the knowledge, skills, and big ideas that students should get from a lesson, or unit. This step allows the student to keep focused on what is essential, offers a zoomed-out view of their learning, and shows the relationship between components of their building knowledge.

Prototyping
Students use prototyping tools and processes to gather feedback, test understanding of concepts, and develop skills and proficiency to design innovative solutions and test new ideas.

Acting
The students learn about implementing school knowledge in actions and plans in a different context. This approach allows them to analyze possible solutions for local and global problems.
